Dakota Hotel in Euro Central

Having stayed overnight and dined at the Dakota Hotel several times now and will keep going back for the great design, fantastic restaurant and excellent service.

The style:

It's exterior is black and sleek with a sort of "industrial" look. The stylish interior however is in direct contrast to the warm, inviting and comfortable feel. There is a huge, modern open fireplace in the bar which is great to relax in front of with a glass of wine from the impressive drinks menu. The rooms are small but very stylish and comfortable and are all equipped with an LCD TV, a modern and chique bathroom and a huge, luxurious bed. Not to mention the fresh cookies waiting for you on arrival.

The food:

The food is gorgeous. Simple but with a sophisticated twist. There is a great selection on the menu and every taste is catered for. Menu choices on our most recent visit were:

Starter: Delicious Wild Mushroom soup. The mushroom flavours were not overpowering with a lovely creamy texture.

Mains: Sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce served with onion rings, vine tomato, shallot, watercress and thin cut chips. The steak was perfectly cooked to my liking and the sauce was flavourful. There is an array of desserts to choose from however the portions are generous so we declined.

The service:

The staff are very polite and friendly. They are so on the ball and make sure everything runs smoothly for guests and customers but make it all seem effortless and relaxed. They are obviously well trained and prepped. You are made to feel welcome right from the minute to step into the hotel with a member of staff greeting you as you come through the door and members of staff always close by should you require their services.
