Stafffinders are delighted to be on board with one of our well-established, corporate clients at their South Ayrshire base. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Reservations Manager to work in a corporate environment where no day is the same and you will be responsible for the development and support of staff within the team. Please not due to location, only applicant who have access to their own transport can be considered.
 
In any successful leader, there are key qualities that make you stand out, such as a personable approach, motivating others, praising those at their strengths and guiding them area’s they could improve. You will be responsible for ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively as possible to ensure the smooth running of the Reservations team. 
 
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is desirable, coupled with at least 3 years of experience in a reservations or customer service function within the hospitality industry is preferred. Previous team supervisory experience in a similar environment is essential.
We are particularly interested in speaking to individuals who are fully conversant in all Reservation Department tasks, is enthusiastic about the workplace, displays a willingness to learn, pro-actively develops the team and has a focus on customer satisfaction.
 
Some key areas of your day to day include;
 

Plan and manage the day to day activities and performance of the team and department.

 

To effectively communicate new rate plans, packages, events, news, and processes to the team

 

To ensure all system configuration information is accurate at all times for in-house, direct connect and website use, ensuring problems in booking processes are minimised. Balancing inventory discrepancies between the systems and investigating the root cause of all impacting errors.

 

To monitor appropriate booking and system reports on a daily basis and to investigate all discrepancies to ensure they are minimised.

 

To ensure all department training is planned and completed accurately and that appropriate records are fully maintained.

 
Salary: £22-23k per annum
Hours: The office opening hours are 08:30 - 21:30 so shifts will vary between these hours. The contract is 39 hours per week and the shifts will be 5 over 7.
