Concierge / General Assistant

This is a newly created, varied, guest facing role based in an Edinburgh City Centre medium sized Hotel. The role is a Concierge role although you will be responsible for providing cover for other departements as required. 
This is a professionally run hotel, staffed with a friendly and supportive team. You will be joining the team in a new role that has been created to enhance Guest experience. Your main role will be to greet guest on arrival assist with luggage and answer any questions they have have on the local area. You will be provided with training for the reception desk as occasionally you may be required to help check in or out guests when busy or during holiday cover. It is also a requirement that you will provide holiday cover for the night porter occasionally also. This is predominantly a Concierge role however with it being a medium sized city centre hotel, you are likley to get a taste of each department in this busy role, helping out the General Manager where required. 
This role would suit someone who is experienced in the porter or concierge role who is looking to gain experience within a broader role. You will work with all departments in this role and every day will be different. This is a guest facing role so if you have a bubbly personality and enjoy guest interaction this could be an ideal role for you. This would certainly be a great role for someone looking to get into hotel operational management due to the exposure to all departments.
