Stafffinders have an opportunity for an experienced Head Housekeeper to join one of the most luxurious boutique hotels in Scottish Borders. This iconic property (located just outside Peebles) presents a luxurious selection of 15 guest rooms & suites, a signature restaurant, stylish bar and a lounge for afternoon tea.

About the job…
As Head Housekeeper you would be accountable for the effortless and seamless task of preparing and maintaining the cleanliness of the public areas within and around the property, servicing the rooms and operating the full laundry service whilst at all times providing exceptional levels of guest service through the guests’ stay.  Overall responsibilities include ensuring that the housekeeping department runs smoothly, and the agreed standards are met. Ensure monthly PDR’s for all housekeeping staff take place, then update the training records with any requirements. Ensure all housekeeping department’s SOP’s are kept up to date with any changes in procedure and are always available for staff members to refer to. Ensure all equipment within the department is properly maintained according to SOP’s and ensure all faulty equipment is reported. Ensure all Housekeeping staff are fully trained in the Hotel’s Fire and Health & Safety Policies.
 
About you…
Ideally you have at least 3 years’ experience within a 5-star environment and a proven track record in a Housekeeping Management and achieving targets and maintaining a multinational team is a must. You have strong leadership and communication skills and are very customer service oriented.  You are hard-working, reliable and have a clear eye for details. Driving license and personal transport is an advantage.
