Junior Sous Chef - Michelin Star Restaurant

Stafffinders are recruiting on behalf of one of the very best restaurants in the world for a Junior Sous Chef. Based in Lancashire, this is a new star player on the scene that has been providing guests with an ethereal eating experience & picking up no end of critical acclaim by using the very freshest produce to create stunning dishes.
The Job
The job will require you to work on yourself. As Junior Sous Chef, you’ll be pushing constantly to get better, be it faster, understanding a new ingredient, learning a new technique. With everything you do at work, even outside of work, you should care immensely about your career. Try out new restaurants to pick up ideas, read books that will inspire you, all with the focus of being the best.
You’ll be shown things that will blow your mind, be taught habits that will make you an incredible chef and improve your cooking skills.
You’ll be working Wednesday to Sunday, supporting the junior chefs in the brigade and taking on board what the Head Chef & Chef Patron want you to do. You should be confident on the pass and have an understanding of rotas, stock-takes and kitchen admin. There will be opportunities to step up to Sous Chef when you've shown everyone how great you are and that you're capable of running the kitchen.
The kitchen has its own garden to grow herbs, fruits and vegetables so you’ll be working with insanely fresh produce in a stunning kitchen.
Attitude is absolutely paramount & being able to focus on flavour is a massive part of this job.
A Bit About You 
To fit into this team, you must be willing to learn and fulfil your potential as the brigade pushes for further accolades. You should have relevant experience in a Michelin Star awarded kitchen and have been working at Junior Sous Chef level for over a year. You should have a full knowledge and understanding of all relevant Health & Safety criteria.
