Stafffinders are delighted to be working with a stunning Castle in the South of Glasgow, glamorously restored to pristine standards, with a fully modern kitchen filled with Thermomixes, Pacojets & Rationals. We are looking to find a Junior Sous Chef for this great place.
The Hotel
So, the hotel is a 5 Star, 3AA Rosette Hotel, it’s got a fair bit of luxury to it & people love booking their weddings there. The hotel is set amongst stunning landscaped gardens, with a little stream running alongside & is just over an hour from Glasgow City Centre.
The Job
As Chef de Partie, you’ll be in charge of a section of the kitchen and be expected to hold your own during service. You’ll be well supported by the Head Chef & be given the training to make you an even better chef than you already are.
With so many things going on in the hotel, every day is going to be different, so you’ll need to be as organised as possible to deal with bookings for the restaurant, wedding tastings & functions and afternoon teas but this will be like water off a ducks back to you after a short while.
Ideally, you’ll already be a Junior Sous Chef in a similar establishment – though Demi Chef de Parties will be considered for the role if you are ready to progress. Any background in Pastry would also be a massive help for this job too.
There is no accommodation available with the role so you will need to be able to commute to the hotel.
You should ideally have your food hygiene certificate & food allergy certificate, but if you don’t this is something we can help you with.
The Benefits
The salary with this role is up to £26,500pa plus a share of tips. You’ll also get meals on duty (staff meals in here are incredible by the way, but that’s a story for another day) and be provided with a uniform.
