The Restaurant
Set in tranquil surroundings, this restaurant is a fantastic getaway in Perthshire, providing guests with an ethereal eating experience using the very freshest produce to create stunning dishes in amazing surroundings.
In this role, you will be working alongside a very talented Head Chef, creating stunning plates of the highest quality cuisine. The kitchen has access to some of the finest produce around, with the likes of venison, grouse & pheasant all thriving locally.
The Job
The Junior Sous Chef job will involve working alongside the current brigade & taking responsibility for a designated section of the kitchen. There will be a strong emphasis on seasonality, sustainability & imaginative cuisine, with an a la carte offering and up to 10-course tasting menus, you'll master the art of getting the maximum flavour out of everything you use.
This restaurant is geared towards using the best of Scotland's natural larder, arguably the best in the world, to create incredible dishes to show the best of the ingredients and what you can do. The successful applicant should have relevant experience in a high-quality kitchen.
This is an opportunity for a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef with a background in professional kitchens, who is looking to join a strong team, willing to learn and fulfil their potential as the brigade pushes for further accolades.
The restaurant holds 3AA Rosettes & is looking to gain a fourth and a coveted Michelin star, but first & foremost, you must be cooking for the customers, not the guides, the accolades will come with progress and consistency.
Due to the location of the restaurant, this may suit people who drive & have access to their own transport, though accommodation may be available.
The Benefits
The salary for this role is up to £28,000pa plus a share of tips. You’ll also get meals on duty and be provided with a uniform.
