Stafffinders are recruiting on behalf of one Scotland’s multi-award winning fine dining hotels for an experienced and energetic Sous Chef. The hotel is set in a beautiful location near Helensburgh, with some incredible loch views and provides equally incredible food and dining experiences.

About the Benefits

About You
As Sous Chef you are very comfortable working in a fine dining environment. Working under a very talented Head Chef and the close-knit team, the kitchen is a precisely run operation. Your great organisational skills, your fantastic attention to detail and leadership skills make you capable of running the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence.
About the Food
The food here is seasonality of Scottish ingredients, allowing for diverse, fresh flavours and a bit of familiarity for customers. Even though there are definite classic overtones with the food, the cooking is still very modern, embracing the latest techniques, plating & food trends.
About the Role
The restaurant in the hotel already holds 2 AA Rosettes and is a multi-award-winning venue for food and service and is pushing for further accolades and you'll be a crucial part of the team's success. The role will involve; sharing responsibility alongside the Head Chef for the entire kitchen department and menu planning. You'll ensure that all dishes are prepared with attention to detail with the highest standards ensuring company spec is always met. You'll be managing the kitchen brigade, motivating the team and be sharing your knowledge. As a strong leader, you will be training and developing Chefs within the team.
The job will suit an experienced Sous Chef who has worked in a 2 or 3 rosette kitchen or a talented and dynamic Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up to the next level in their culinary career.
Requirements

You must have a proven track record of longevity and working at 2 rosette dining level

Demonstrate a passion for excellence

Have a good understanding of GP management

You must have a proven track record of managing a small team

You are organised and are a strong communicator

You have bundles of passion about food and delivering an exquisite dining experience
