Stafffinders are currently recruiting on behalf of one of Dumfries & Galloways’ most charming hotels for a dynamic, enthusiastic Sous Chef. The hotel has been recently renovated & the food has a relaxed style, with well-known dishes, cleverly intertwined with some fresh twists.
 
The Sous Chef Job
 
The Sous Chef job will involve preparation of various ingredients around the kitchen and set up a corner in a timely manner. You’ll be bossing a section during service, making sure everyone else is prepped up and ready to go. When then Head Chef is absent, you’ll be overseeing the kitchen, from running the pass, doing orders & keeping all the safety records up to date.
 
The hotel prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients to provide guests with a remarkable dining experience. This is a remarkable place to work and expand your skills. The menus are designed to accommodate a variety of customers, & the business of the restaurant reflects that the menus are working well
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in at least a 1 rosette kitchen or high-end gastropub would be required for this role.
Due to the location of the hotel, this role may suit someone with access to their own transport.
