Stafffinders are recruiting on behalf of one of Scotland’s most luxurious hotels based about 30 mins from Oban for an experienced & creative Sous Chef. The hotel is set in an unbelievable location with some incredible views. The only thing that is missing is a top Sous Chef to cook some of the best food in Scotland.
About the Role
The Sous Chef job will entail running this kitchen to an extremely high standard. The company has invested a great deal into the hotel to make sure it retains its 5-star luxury charm that continues to attract customers from different markets.
You’ll be given the task of overseeing the kitchen, helping with creating and implementing new menus. You’ll be working alongside an award-winning Head Chef, and you’ll need to help source the best produce, and train your team to produce the dishes to your own high standards.
You’ll get the chance to promote your talents through demos and social media, with the company being proud of the standard that they produce.
About You
You will need to be comfortable working in a fine dining restaurant with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You’ll be helping with heading up a team of 8 so your individual management skills should be great. You will need to have great organisational skills, display fantastic attention to detail and be capable of running the kitchen, helping with recruitment, orders, menus and handle the processing of the kitchen admin.
You should be working as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in either a Michelin Star restaurant or 3 Rosette restaurant to be considered for this role. The standards are high and should remain that way so only those with the right experience can be considered for this job.

The position offers a salary of up to £32,000 for the right person and comes with other benefits including;
