Stafffinders are delighted to be working with an award-winning stunning hotel in the South of Glasgow. We are looking to find an enthusiastic, talented and committed Sous Chef for this great place.
THE HOTEL
The hotel is a 5 Star, 3 AA Rosette fine dining venue, being a luxury venue with stunning interior and exterior people love booking their wedding here. This award-winning venue is loved by locals and visitors alike for a unique dining experience.
There is no accommodation available for this vacancy, so you will be required to travel to and from the hotel, but the venue is conveniently located just one hour away from Glasgow City Centre.
ABOUT YOU
You must have experience in a similar role and be able to prove commitment and longevity. You will have Rosette or Fine Dining experience. A passion for excellent food and service should be demonstrated. Good leadership skills are essential and you must be confident in leading from the front.
THE JOB
As Sous Chef you will assist the hotel’s highly experienced and strong Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of the food offer in the hotel. You’ll effectively manage the kitchen team to achieve the highest standard of food production especially in the Head Chef’s absence. You’ll control and manage the food cost in line with budgets, source ingredients in accordance with the company’s sourcing policy and control production and portions in line with agreed specifications. The Sous Chef must be able to solve problems quickly and in a professional and pleasant manner. You have great initiative, have self-discipline, effective communications skills, and the ability to organise, monitor and direct the work of others. You will be first in command in the absence of the Head Chef
DUTIES INCLUDE
·Training and developing team members to maximise performance
·Lead and inspire individuals to create a highly motivated and committed team
·Ensuring GP targets are achieved
·Developing product knowledge
·Resolve customer complaints professionally within the food operation
·Monitor stock control and manage orders
·Health and Safety management
·Deputising in the absence of Head Chef
