Stafffinders are recruiting for a talented, Sous Chef for a stunning restaurant in the Scottish Highlands. This restaurant has a deserved reputation as one of the best in the country & is a marvellous place to learn new skills, show your talents & push your boundaries. Based in Aviemore, this incredible hotel boasts lodges, restaurants, extensive leisure facilities and wait for it….its own cinema!
 
I know, you’re still like ‘that’s really cool’ – but you can work here and get access to the gym & cinema & restaurants at the same time. Probably not on shift though, that is slightly frowned upon.

The Position
 
As Sous Chef, you’ll be working with local produce where possible, and not so local as well. You’ll be working with seasonal produce and developing the menus as the season goes on. It would be an advantage if you can drive & have access to your own transport, but it is not essential.
 
You will be responsible for ensuring the high standards set by the head chef are maintained at all times as you will be responsible for the overall running of the operation in the Head Chef’s absence.
 
You will be expected to impart your knowledge upon the younger team members and train them fully on any new operational or spec changes, new menu items.
 
About You
 
You should have experience in working as a Sous chef for minimum 3 years. You should have a working knowledge of what’s in season and a great underpinning knowledge of how to deliver on every section of the kitchen. You should be driven, focused & determined to push on in your career. Previous experience in a Rosette awarded kitchen would be a great advantage, but people with the right skill-set & attitude will also be considered.
