Sous Chef – Glasgow City Centre
 
Stafffinders are recruiting on behalf of one of Glasgow’s freshest restaurant groups. Covering a range of different market sectors from traditional Scottish food to Pan Asian delights, and much more in between. We are looking for a motivated Sous Chef for a Mediterranean style restaurant in the heart of Glasgow.
 
Using fresh ingredients to create vibrant food for this well established and busy restaurant, the ideal chef should have at least 5 years experience within a busy, high quality restaurant or hotel at CDP or Sous level. The restaurant can seat up to 120 customers and has a thriving function business alongside a healthy flow of regulars & walk-ins.
 
As Sous Chef, your role will be to deputise for the Head Chef and to work closely with them to ensure company standards are met at all time. This will involve leading by example with regards to all aspects of the kitchen, from staff training, plating, Health and Safety and work ethic.
 
To be considered for the role, you must have shown longevity in previous roles and be able to provide great references. There is an emphasis on being able to cope under pressure, our client is looking for someone who can maintain a positive working attitude and keep calm when the restaurant is busy. Some experience in Mediterranean cooking would be helpful but is not essential as full training will be given.
 
In return, the job comes with a salary of £25,000 p/a plus other great incentives.
