Stafffinders are recruiting on behalf of one of Ayrs freshest restaurants for a driven, quality focused Sous Chef. Using all fresh ingredients sourced from some of the best suppliers in Scotland, the Sous Chef will be responsible for keeping standards high and creating food that becomes the talking point at the table. The role requires a hands-on approach that will allow you to thrive and use their creative talents to further the success of the business. You will be in charge of a brigade of 4 chefs and will need to manage the team effectively so as to keep the kitchen flowing. The menu is set in order to showcase the best of Scotland’s produce and maintain an effective GP%. You will be responsible for the daily specials menu, creating dishes to show your flair and talent and to utilise stock effectively. The responsibilities of the role include; * Training and sharing responsibility with the Head Chef for the entire kitchen department, staff training and recruiting. * Ensure that all dishes are prepared with attention to detail and to the highest standard ensuring company spec is met at all times. * Manage the kitchen brigade, motivate the team and share knowledge, training and developing chefs within the team. To be considered, candidates must be passionate about food and delivering amazing hospitality to guests. You must be organised, a strong communicator with excellent attention to detail. High experience is required within a Sous Chef or Head Chef role, ideally within a high quality, fast paced establishment. The position offers a highly competitive rate & great company benefits.
