We are looking for a Sous Chef for a stunning rural hotel in Stirlingshire. Situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs area, this elegant gem of a hotel is well known for its ‘nature to plate’ philosophy and commitment to keeping ingredients as local as possible. Backed by one of Scotland’s best loved chefs, this is a phenomenal opportunity for a Sous Chef to put the last pieces of the puzzle together before stepping up to Head Chef level.
 
The role will involve overseeing the kitchen operation in the absence of the Head Chef and its day to day running, including staff management and training, creating daily menus and maintain the outstanding reputation of the kitchen. The kitchen team includes 7 chefs and KP’s and you will be tasked with ensuring everyone gives 100% to every dish that leaves the kitchen.
 
There is a steady flow of weddings and functions, given the areas natural beauty, it is an ideal location for such events, and the food should always be a big talking point. The restaurant can do around 40 lunches and about 45 dinners every day, with the focus being on giving a fantastic guest experience.
 
The ideal Sous Chef should have experience working in a rosette awarded kitchen, have solid kitchen financial knowledge and a genuine love of food. You should be able to motivate your team, and inspire confidence throughout the brigade.
 
The role comes with a salary of up to £25,000pa and accommodation is available on & off site.
