Stafffinders are delighted to be partnering with a fantastic hotel in South Ayrshire to find a Sous Chef for their kitchen team.
Based in the coastal town of Troon, the hotel offers incredible food, incredible views & incredible service (just an FYI – the coffee is A+, for anyone that needs a cup to get the day going)
About the Job
The position we are looking to fill is the position of Sous Chef. With a bar & restaurant as well as functions & afternoon tea’s, you need to be a strong all rounder for this job.
You’ll mainly be working with John, the Head Chef, in carrying out all the usual Sous Chef-y duties – from staff training, to running the pass, stock takes and if you’re still there, ordering. But there is actual cooking involved too. The menu isn’t complex, its been designed to bring out the best of the ingredients involved – great ingredients, cooked brilliantly – it’s a winning formula.
About You
Ideally, you’ll already be a Sous Chef in a similar establishment – though Chef de Parties will be considered for the role if you are ready to progress.
There is no accommodation available with the role so you will need to be able to commute to the hotel.
You should ideally have your food hygiene certificate & food allergy certificate, but if you don’t this is something we can help you with.
Salary & Benefits
The Sous Chef job is available on an hourly rate, which is negotiable depending on experience.
There are also benefits involved with the role including gym access, discounted room rates & staff meals.
If you are thinking this could be the job for you, call the office on 0141 887 1155 & ask for Paul to have a chat about it.
Ready to Apply?
If you’ve got a current CV ready to send, hit apply and we will get in touch.
If you’d like to know more, call the office on the number mentioned before or you can connect with me on LinkedIn -  - & we can go over this role.
Should you be selected for interview for this role, you’ll be invited to the hotel for a look around to find out for yourself if this is a job you could see yourself doing.
You must be able to provide great references from current & previous employers.
To comply with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and must be able to provide documentation to prove this.
