Dark Chocolate Brownies

Great recipe for Dark Chocolate Brownies. Moreish & Gooey, perfect for afternoon teas or as a desert component.


600g Icing Sugar

360g Plain Flour

80g Cocoa Powder

600g Dark Chocolate

360g Butter

120g Golden Syrup

8 Large Eggs (Beaten)

1 Tablespoon Vanilla Essence


Beat the flour, eggs, cocoa and icing sugar together to make a paste.

Melt the chocolate with the vanilla, butter and golden syrup until smooth.

Bind the two mixes together quickly.

Pour into 2 greaseproof lined ½ gastro trays.

Bake at 180 for 25-30 minutes.

The centre should be cooked, but gooey.

Cut as required and store in the fridge or an airtight container.
