The Brunswick Bar and Restaurant Merchant City Glasgow

When our party arrived the bar/restaurant was lively with revellers gearing up for the weekend. We were quickly shown to our table upstairs, a small but adequate area for a table of ten or so.

The waitress was quick to take drinks orders and offer us the specials of the day, freshly grilled sardines with pesto stood out to me and the deep fried white bait.

The Menu was large offering a selection of cuisines from pizza to tapas and even homemade burgers. Many of the party opted for the tapas ordering a selection of fresh fish, grilled haloumi and sautéed chorizo which filled the room with a pleasant smoky aroma giving me instant order envy.  I went for the homemade lamb burger with freshly cut skinny fries, the burger did not disappoint, cooked perfectly and full of flavour.

The menu offers something for everybody and every pocket, and with the excellent service provided even at peak times this is a perfect venue for great fresh food.
