Khublai Khans - Merchant City

Posted on: March 1, 2011     |     0 comments

I have been dining at the Khublai Khans in Merchant City, Glasgow since it opened in 1998 and have yet to fault the experience.

The Mongolian restaurant offers exotic meats and seafood in their menu. Myself and my party of 10 all chose to have the barbeque which offered such meats as Kangaroo, Wild Boar, Ostrich, Venison, Springbok, Crocodile and Zebra as well as the less exotic meats  -   Lamb, Beef and Chicken

A token is provided for the barbeque, so you can choose your vegetables, noodles or rice add any of the meats above and make up your own sauce, which all adds to the novelty. You then take this to the chef at the barbeque and your dish is cooked in front of you.

Khublai Khans is a fantastic venue for special occasions and you can comfortably spend a few hours there. The service is not great but after all the years I have been attending the restaurant the food more than makes up for it.

My Overall rating for the restaurant is 9/10.
