Paperinos – St Vincent Street, Glasgow

We visited Paperinos Italian Restaurant for lunch, the building in the heart of Glasgow is lovely and provides a bright and airy space. Well-located amid the shops and offices this venue has established a reputation for knowing their market and are in a position to cater for families, couples, office parties and both theatre and cinema goers.

The staff were very welcoming and quickly showed us to our seats. We were given a choice of 2 menus an A la Carte and a lunch time special menu that had 4 choices of starters and 4 main courses, including a delicious array of pasta, pizza, fish and meat dishes.

I opted for minestrone soup to start with and would say that it was one of the most authentic Italian soups I have had.  My dining partner had Brochette and this portion could easily have fed two people. Chicken Ceasar salads were the choice for mains and we both admitted that this was one of the best Ceasar salads we have ever had.

The atmosphere was cosy and relaxing with diners spread across the restaurant which helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The price was very extremely  reasonable at £9.95 for 2 courses plus coffee. If a fault were to be found - Pinot Grigio (house wine) charged out at a whopping £6.95 per glass.
